Rovigo Waterfall

cascata rovigo

An easy and panoramic excursion that crosses the wonderful Val d'Inferno, leading to the Rovigo stream and its spectacular waterfall, an unmissable destination in both summer and winter.
Starting from Badia di Moscheta, where it is worth visiting the Museum of the Historical Landscape of the Apennines, the the route follows the stream up to a crossroads, where you take the direction for Val d'Inferno. Here begins the path that enters one of the most evocative valleys of Firenzuola: the Veccione Valley. Continuing beyond the crossroads for Giogarello, the path crosses ancient chestnut groves until reaching the Molinaccio Bridge. From this point, following the signs for the waterfall, you go up the Rovigo stream. Ignoring the deviation for Casetta di Tiara, continue until you reach Lastra, where a bridge allows you to cross the stream and continue on the path on the other bank.

Following the river for about 40 minutes, you arrive at a crossroads with path 741 for Val Cavaliera. Continue along the stream for another 10 minutes, until you reach the splendid waterfall. After enjoying this corner of uncontaminated nature, all that remains is to retrace the path to return to Moscheta, thus completing an unforgettable excursion through history, nature and scenic beauty.
