Osteria Bruciata Pass

brento

Osteria Bruciata Pass is a fascinating and mysterious place nestled in the mountains of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, rich in history and legend.
Located at approximately 900 meters above sea level, this pass anciently marked the border between Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, and was an important crossing point for merchants and travellers.
The pass owes its name to an old inn, around which disturbing tales arose: it is said that travelers were lured here and then robbed, and even killed, by the inn's managers.
Once the deception was discovered, it is said that the tavern was set on fire as an act of justice, leaving only ruins and legends behind.
Today the Osteria Bruciata Pass is an ideal destination for lovers of trekking and of nature, which offers paths immersed in the woods, evocative views and an atmosphere that recalls the charm of the ancient stories of the Apennines.
